Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Logo

It is a great honor and very exiting to be able to attend the 63. Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting dedicated to Chemistry. Over the time span of roughly one week (30 June - 5 July 2013) 625 incredible talented undergraduate and postgraduate students from 78 countries will get into a dialogue with 35 Nobel Laureates.

For the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting I will write for lindau.nature.com and will be part of a panel on Thursday afternoon. The panel consists of four Nobel Laureates (Walter Gilbert, Brian Kobilka, Sir Harold Kroto and Ada Yonath), Beatrice Lugger, (Deputy Director of the German National Institute for Science Communication), moderator Adam Smith (Editorial Director of Nobel Media) and me. The topic will be “Why Communicate?” and I am very much looking forward to it.

Energy and energy storage is one of the key topics at this Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting and I am very much looking forward to listen and speak to inspiring attendees like Steven Chu (i.a. Nobel Prize in Physics in 1997 and 12th United States Secretary of Energy).

Do not miss the chance to have a look at the very informative and interesting Lindau Mediatheque as well as the Lindau Nobel Online Community.
